Although the Cover Oregon Board, which has managed to sign up 70,000 Oregonians for Obamacare despite a snake-bit computer system, has decided to stop throwing money down the well on the system. They decided to go with a federally provided exchange which is used by many states across the country.
But enroute to getting the switch moving, the question has been raised among state lawmakers whether the Cover Oregon board even has the legal power to make such a switch. So it appears that the federal government may have to step in and, through federal law, command the switch be made.
