When Oracle and Deloitte told the Cover Oregon review committee that they would need another 80 million dollars to make the state’s health care website work, but then said they couldn’t guarantee it, that’s when the other shoe fell. Or at least began falling. Oregon appears poised to go with a federal exchange system that has been working across the country – while dumping the one that never worked due to a myriad of simple and complicated mistakes. A final decision on the federal exchange is coming up soon.
