Beautiful day on the coast!
In the last photo you see the infamous Tycho crater in the upper right corner, with long debris radials stretching out for a thousand miles. Tycho Crater is still thought to have been created by a piece of the asteroid that slammed into the Earth off the Yucatan Peninsula that sealed the fate of the dinosaurs. Jesuit astronomer Giovanni Riccioli named the crater after then-reknown Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe in 1651. The crater is 53 miles across and 3 miles deep.
