Fred Meyer/Safeway show their “liquid assets” to boost support for grocery store liquor sales
Although it may not be as much as Costco’s $20 million effort to win the right to sell hard liquor in their Washington state stores, Fred Meyer’s and Safeway have chipped in hundreds of thousands so far (Fred Meyer a cool million) to support voter signature collections in Oregon aimed at approval of grocery store liquor sales.
