Over 2000 enthusiastic people attended KSHL 97.5’s first annual Oregon Coast Sportsman’s Expo this past weekend at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. Presented by Toby Murry Motors, they were treated to a wide variety of products and services from the 35 vendors who participated. The Rocky Mt. Elk “Great Elk Tour” was the premier display featuring 6 of the largest bull elk taken in the lower 48 states last year.
A local heads and horns competition brought over 100 entrants of elk and deer for scoring. Our own search and rescue team had their central command set up and equipment and the Coast Guard Auxiliary displayed their rescue boat as well. There was archery equipment and a shooting range for the kids, casting pond from Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, shell fish display, wall of shame poached animals display, demonstrations and more. Retail booths offered huge savings on their inventories from rustic décor, agates and jewelry, fishing gear, saddles and tack, clothing hand bags and back packs, to guns ,knives and charter services.
The many non profit organizations who set up shop including the NRA, VFW, and RMEF held raffles to raise funds for their groups and were all delighted with the turn out
KSHL would like to thank all the vendors who invested in their first time ever expo and all the people who came to the show. Next year’s show will be double in size so get ready for even more fun!
