The Oregon State Office of Economic Analysis is predicting better times ahead as the state continues to pull itself out of The Great Recession. And for the first time since the Crash of 2008, job recovery in Oregon is no longer limited to the Portland area. Others like Medford and Bend, along with the Columbia Gorge, are showing strong employment gains with moderate progress in the Salem corridor. However, state analyists say the Eugene area is still trying to find a seat on the recovery bus.
