The High Wind Warning remains in effect until 4:00am Sunday morning for south winds 25-35 mph with gusts to 60 mph in coastal communities; winds 30-40 mph with gusts to 70 near beaches and headlands.
While this storm was slow to come ashore, winds began picking up about 8:00pm, and rain had steadily increased. Wind gusts higher than current peaks remain possible overnight, and the most recent projections show additional rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch.

Highest gust in the region so far is 69 mph on Cline Hill (el. 1,210 feet) east of Eddyville.
