Lincoln City dinner with a TWIST!! It may end up with Mayor Anderson getting a pie square in his face!
Family Promise Board Members Heather Hatton and Majalise Tolan are going to be serving dinner at Chinook Winds March 13th in the most entertaining way they can in order to earn enough tips to throw cream pies right in the face of Mayor Dick Anderson. But the only way they can qualify to do that is if both Heather and Majalise raise more tips than Mayor Anderson and his server teammate Marty Cahill of North Lincoln Hospital raised in last year’s fundraiser for Family Promise.
There will be a special 3-course meal created especially for this event for $20. The kids menu is available for children or you can choose your meal off the regular menu.
Also available at the event is a special auction item. Chinook Winds Casino Resort Executive Chef, Jack Strong, has offered to prepare a 5-course meal in your home for up to 6 people for the highest bidder. The dinner will be auctioned off during the event with the announcement of the winner at 7pm.
“Chinook Winds Casino Resort is proud to provide the venue for this event. Family Promise of Lincoln County is important to this community and we are proud to participate,” said Dean Konecny, Interim Marketing Director, Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
This fun evening with fabulous food and antics from the Celebrity Servers is the fourth Celebrity Server event sponsored by Family Promise of Lincoln County, a nonprofit organization to help homeless families. Both celebrity servers are prominent folks in the Lincoln City area: Heather Hatton is Public Relations Director for Chinook Winds Casino Resort and Majalise Tolan is the Principal of Taft High School.
If Hatton and Tolan exceed the tips raised by Dick Anderson and Marty Cahill at last year’s event, the “The Pie in the Mayor’s Face” event will be held at Taft High School in front of an entire school assembly. Truly a community event of historic proportions.
Hatton said “We admit we have big shoes to fill, but with Majalise’s wit and my red hair we stand a fighting chance! This is all in fun but at the same time promoting community spirit to high school students and a helping hand to families in need.
