An eastbound car with teens inside careened out of control on Highway 20 near Mossy Lane Saturday night, straightened out a long gradual curve in the four lane section of the highway, slammed into the north guard rail, then crossed back over all four lanes again and then slammed into the south guard rail. It bounced off again, then spun around, coming to rest facing west in the eastbound lanes.
Although the very expensive Mercedes Benz was obliterated on the outside, the teens emerged unhurt except for being terrified. One by one their parents came to pick them up no doubt wondering how their child could have survived such a high impact crash without suffering any injuries.
No official word on a cause.
