From NLFR Captain Jim Kusz
Last Sunday North Lincoln Fire & Rescue Volunteer Association held its 57th Annual Ham Dinner and raised over $5,000 for the North Lincoln Fire & Rescue Volunteer Association.
Nearly 600 visitors and meals served.
As part of the fundraiser, a 9/11 quilt, created by Sue Clark and Jennifer Reinhart and a Survival Kit donated by the Electronic Super store and North Lincoln Fire & Rescue were raffled off.
The quilt was won by a local Otis woman, Suzy Bray who initially didn’t want her name release because she going to give the quilt to her sister who really wanted it and she wants it to be a surprise. Ms. Bray called me back a little while ago and thought how wonderful if her sister heard the news and then Bray gave it to her.
9/11 Quilt Mission accomplished!
The “Go Kit” was won by Bonnie Van Bruggen, another coastal resident who already has a “Go Kit” so she and her husband plan to gift that as well to their adult children moving to the coast with a new born.
