Seafood and Wine tent crews are working away – They say “It will be ready for opening day Thursday!”
Peter Corvallis special events crews have been working hard the last few days to get the Seafood and Wine Festival tents up and ready for vendors and all the crowds that will converge on Newport for this crucial local community fundraising event this weekend.
Winds blew the north tent to pieces on Saturday. They gathered up all the parts late Saturday and throughout Sunday to prepare for its reconstruction. And as you can see from the photos, they’ve made a huge amount of progress in a short amount of time. The crews say the facility will be up and ready for Seafood and Wine which opens their doors on Thursday.
It’s the biggest tourist event on the Central Coast and organizer Lorna Davis of the Newport Chamber of Commerce said they’re getting the word out that Seafood and Wine is a GO!…and that doors will be opening for the four day event that runs Thursday through Sunday.
