Lincoln City Police are enroute to a report of a pedestrian hit in a crosswalk at 3350 NE 101. The crosswalk is between Taco Time and U.S. Market and near Starbucks.
Reports from the scene is that the man is injured and bleeding from several points on his body. He is conscious.
Vehicle hit the man in the crosswalk. Officers say it looks like the man was struck by the car’s driver’s side rear view mirror. The vehicle was described as a white, older model two door sedan, last seen headed southbound. One witness said it may have pulled into Lil Sambo’s.
Victim is said to be age 24.
S/B lane of 101 is blocked at the scene.
Officers say they’re looking for a small white, older model two-door sedan that is missing its plastic mirror housing from the driver’s rear view mirror. Just the mirror itself would be showing. The impact apparently shattered the plastic and dislodged the housing.
Officers now say there could be front end damage to the car as well.
Victim is being transported to North Lincoln Hospital.
Officers say witnesses said the white car that hit the man was last seen headed southbound on 101, not northbound.
Officers are enroute to the hospital to attempt to get more information from the victim.
