Storm and big snow melt swells Yaquina River – Highway 20 damaged 4 miles west of Eddyville- Down to one lane with flaggers!
A part of Highway 20 that will be bypassed by the new section of Highway 20 has been badly damaged by the torrent of the Yaquina River during last night’s storm. Snow melt and runoff of new rain caused the river to partially under cut Highway 20 about 4 miles west of Eddyville.
ODOT reports that motorists should slow down and expect flaggers to get you through on the one remaining lane.
The Highway 20 project is expected to be ready for use in 2016. Meanwhile ODOT has another significant repair job on what we still have.
