Power lines have fallen across both lanes of Highway 20, at milepost 22, just west of Eddyville. The only other route would be to go north on 229 to Siletz, then take Logsden Road through the mountains to Eddyville. It’s a long drive.
The power company says it will have a delayed response so Highway 20 make take a while to reopen. Oregon State Police say ice on power lines all over western Oregon is stressing power lines. Traveling tonight will be very hazardous, they say. Sounds like a good night to stay home with a good book and hot chocolate.
