The Newport Warming Shelter still needs more socks and more blankets. When the cold snap ends probably Saturday or Sunday, those who have been able to remain dry and warm through the snow, sleet and rain, will be headed out into the wide open skies of the coast. And they need those socks and they need those blankets. So if you can drop some off at the warming shelter at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, they’d sure appreciate. The warming shelter is in the fairgrounds Main Exhibit Hall where the winter’s Farmers Market operates out of during the winter months.
You can park right outside and walk right in.
