(Written after the incident was over)
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies received a report at around 8:30pm that a woman in a home on North Glenview Loop (Otis/Rose Lodge) was locked inside her home and that a man was trying to break into her house through a sliding glass door.
Deputies raced toward the area from a long distance away…15 minutes out. Woman tells 9-1-1 the man is still trying to get in. She describes him as a tall man with brown hair, dark clothing, blue jeans, black wool pull over.
Deputies finally arrive – park their vehicles on Panther Creek and walk into the area. They surround the home and determine the man is no longer there. Deputies make sure that the woman is okay. She’s still inside her home. Deputies check the area further.
One deputy spots a man just up the street matching the description given by the victim. They’re talking with him. No word yet on whether the victim can identify him.
