SBDC presents ‘pub talk’ Thursday at Nana’s
The Small Business Learning Network continues its year-long series of leading business topics next Thursday, Jan. 23, 6-9pm, with a “Technology Pub Talk,” at Nana’s Irish Pub in Newport’s Nye Beach district. The public is invited to attend.
“This will be a fun gathering, with food and no-host bar, that will feature several Lincoln County Business Leaders who have embraced technology and have changed the way that business is being done in our county,” said Ron Spisso, SBM coordinator for the Small Business Development Center at Oregon Coast Community College. “Matt Updenkelder from Coast Com will lead off our discussion by sharing how his company contributes to developing the digital capacity of the Central Oregon Coast.”
Spisso said other featured presenters will be Ken Spencer, Newport Signs, speaking about the benefits of computer-aided design and Wil Black, Advanced Research Corporation, about mobile phone apps. Curt Abbott, Oregon Coast Technology, will discuss the critical tech needs in office technology.
Admission is free, and the public is welcome to attend. Nana’s will offer a selection of complimentary hors d’oeuvres while they last, and drinks may be purchased at the no-host bar. Nana’s is located at 613 NW 3rd Street in Newport.
