Be Jeweled Prepares for Annual Event
Be Jeweled, an upcycled jewelry sale benefiting Food Share of Lincoln County, is set for Saturday, February 8 from 9-3 at the Newport Shilo Inns and Suites, 536 SW Elizabeth St.
This marks the seventh year of this popular sale, which features jewelry of all types and prices. There is something for everyone, from crafters to people looking for fine jewelry. Ethnic jewelry is always a busy area at the sale, and people are also drawn to the many tables full of beads, earrings, watches and other fun items. The purchase of a necklace or bracelet can help feed a family of four for a week.
“Be Jeweled 2014 will unveil something ‘new’ as well as a fresh polish to the ‘old,” states chairman Emilia Lacy.
All proceeds from this unique sale go to Food Share of Lincoln County, which provides thousands of pounds of food each year to the hungry in Lincoln County by supplying the various county pantries with food.
Jewelry is collected through the end of January. If you have jewelry to donate (all kinds are accepted), see www.foodsharelincolncounty.org for a complete list of donation sites, as well as for more information on this event and Food Share of Lincoln County. Donations are tax deductible.
