4-H Horse Program Wants Your Bottles and Cans
Clean up after the holidays and get rid of your deposit cans and bottles by donating them to the Lincoln County 4-H Horse Program. Youth will be collecting cans and bottles at the JC Market in Newport (107 N. Coast Highway) from 9:30am to 1pm on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Businesses with larger quantities or who prefer to simply donate to the program can also contact Cari Jenkins (541-272-0821) to make other arrangements.
All proceeds go to support your local youth in the Lincoln County 4-H Horse Project. This includes activities such as the Lincoln County Fair, the Spring Horse Classic State Competition, horse clinics that teach the youth about subjects such as horse health and ranch horse skills and many other educational opportunities throughout the year.
If you have any questions about 4-H or its Horse Program, please contact the Lincoln County OSU extension office at 541-574-6534.
