Rich Belloni, director of Support Services for Lincoln County School District says he was aware of the situation, which he believes was a matter of miscommunication between the subcontractor and the DEQ. He is confident that the work on the underground storage tank was performed properly (which is also in line with a statement by DEQ). The subcontractor, Slayden Construction, was hired by T. Gerding Construction Co. of Corvallis, the construction manager/general contractor for the new Waldport High School.
