Siletz Valley Early College Academy: looking to award grants to those seeking to stop bullying and lifting children out of poverty.
We the students of of the Community 101 class at the Siletz Valley Early College Academy are concerned with people who are bullied and children living in poverty. With Support from the PGE Foundation, the Meyer Memorial Trust and the Community 101 Foundation, we are looking to support non-profit organizations that address these issues in Lincoln County.
Community 101 is a class where we get $5,000 from PGE Foundation and the Meyer Memorial Trust Fund to give to non-profit organizations that help stop Bullying and Children Living In Poverty. We will give the donations to the organizations in an awards ceremony in May.
If you have a non-profit organization that works with bullying prevention or children in poverty and you would get like to apply for a grant, please contact Ms. Syms at LorrieSyms@gmail.com before Dec. 31st, 2013.
