A New Year Brings New Control of Personal Health
With the ushering in of a new year, many people make lists of lofty resolutions that will be forgotten by mid-February… lose twenty pounds, eat healthy, work out five days a week. This year, try something different.
One simple way to meet your seemingly unattainable goals is to participate in a Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop. In six short weeks of workshops, participants learn to take control of their health and life by learning and implementing simple tools. Tools like problem solving, decision making, healthy eating and action planning can help take resolutions from being fast forgotten to being a reality.
There are two upcoming workshops in Lincoln County. The Toledo Public Library is hosting a workshop on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:30 pm starting on January 7 and running through February 11. Lakeview Senior Living in Lincoln City is hosting a workshop on Thursday afternoons from 1:30-4:00 pm starting February 6 and running through March 13.
Senior and Disability Services sponsors Living Well workshops throughout Lincoln County and are free to attend. To learn more, to obtain a current list of workshops, or to register, call or e-mail Kaity Lundgren at (541) 574-3752 or email@example.com.
