Story provided by Kim Mobley, Waldport
Two dogs teamed up together, from opposite ends of the country, to paint one painting to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Association, who’s main goal is to bring joy to seriously ill Children, teens, and their families.
The journey of the painting started in Waldport where 3 year old trick dog Koby, trained and owned by Kim Mobley, picked up his paint brush and added the first paint strokes in the color blue. It was then shipped across the country to Hudson, Florida where shelter dog turned champion-trick-dog Brody the Border Collie, owned and trained by Lisa Morrissey, added a few beautiful paint strokes of his own. The painting was then shipped back again to Oregon for Koby to add the final paint strokes of yellow and fuchsia.
This original one of a kind K9 painting is being auctioned off on eBay through December 10th. All Proceeds go to the Children’s Cancer Association.
When seriously ill children, teens, and their families need more than medicine, CCA’s innovative programs create joy one moment at a time for them.
I chose this charity because they do great things for kids with cancer and their families. It has a special place in my heart, as my brother had a very rare form of cancer as a baby and spent a lot of time in the hospital.
