New rules take effect July 1st, that involve all public and private schools in Oregon, that are aimed at stopping what has been called “passing the trash.” It’s when a teacher or other school district employee has been charged with sexual misconduct and is fired, but the reasons for firing are sealed. Gov. Kulongoski: Back in the days when Oregon had money

Governor Ted Kulongoski, making good on his promise to bring state service levels back in line with available revenues, announced Tuesday he will enact across-the-board 9% cuts effective July 1st.
