From Lincoln County Commissioner Doug Hunt

Lincoln County Commissioner Doug Hunt will hold a news conference on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 12:30 p.m. at the Port of Toledo Paddle Park gazebo in Toledo. Commissioner Hunt will, at that time, formally announce his candidacy for Lincoln County Commissioner Position 1. Hunt is serving in this position since his appointment in June of last year.

“As County Commissioner I have concentrated on financial accountability, jobs, transportation and roads, and services to seniors and veterans,” Hunt said. “As a 39 year career banker, with the last 25 years in Lincoln County, I have utilized my experience as a banker and businessman to manage the county budget assuring a stable financial future for the county and for the services we deliver to our citizens.

“I have a long record of widespread county and community involvement culminating in my appointment as a County Commissioner to complete the remainder of the term of long time commissioner Don Lindly. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of Lincoln County.”

Commissioner Hunt and his wife Patsy have three adult children, Matt, Shannon and Courtney – all graduates of the Lincoln County School District. They have lived in the Toledo area for the past 25 years.

All interested parties are invited to attend.
