Witnesses say two young men were headed westbound on Highway 20 Sunday afternoon, when for some reason the driver lost control, their SUV going off the side of a very steep embankment, and rolled 40 feet down into the Yaquina River. The accident scene is just a couple hundred feet west of the easterly end of the Highway 20 construction zone.
