A group of strong-hearted community boosters this weekend are boot-strapping repairs to the much loved and used Siletz Valley Grange Hall in Siletz as well as for the much honored but weathered Don Davis Park Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Newport.
Saturday there is a fundraiser for the Siletz Valley Grange Hall assembled by Elizabeth Kosydar featuring a comedy show called Happy Humor Hour. Again, it’s Saturday, January 19th, 7pm. Tickets are $5 each or six for $20. Desserts will be available for purchase.
Then Sunday there will be a fundraiser concert to raise funds for repairs to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at Don Davis Park in Newport, just south of Nye Beach. Come enjoy the music of John Brongetto/Bill Hartsell, Tinh Mahoney and Rick Bartow. The concert begins Sunday, 3pm at the Newport Performing Arts Center, across the street from Don Davis Park. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for Veterans, Seniors and youth.
