On a tip that a very angry man was threatening people at a local adult care facility, Eugene Police discovered a fully loaded AR-15 Assault Rifle at his home with several high capacity clips next to it. Police said the trigger was in the “fire” position.

  1. A fine example of sensationalistic journalism.

  2. No, not sensational journalism. It’s a good example of some people’s sick attachment to guns. Killing is an act of opportunity. Unregulated access to semi-automatic weapons creates unlimited killing opportunities. Common sense is the first fatality, then the carnage ensues. Gun nuts are on the wrong side of history. It’s the 21st century. It’s unbelievable that we’re still hung up on this issue like it’s even debatable. What’s next? Are we going to bring back wife and child beating? A man’s home is his castle (with gun turrets), right?

Our addiction to guns is an international embarrassment.
