Gov. John Kitzhaber plans to unveil Friday a proposed 2013-2015 biannual state budget that he claims will let schools hire 500 more teachers statewide, end mandatory days off for state workers, boost spending for at-risk children and their families and still leave enough resources on the table for natural and man-made disasters.
These and other aspects of the state’s budget plan for the next two years will be revealed officially to the public tomorrow at 10am in Salem.
