A 46 year old Waldport man was arrested this week after finding him under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana with a five year old child in a home on Highway 34, near milepost 3. The discovery followed a request by a citizen that the Sheriff’s Office check on the welfare of Addam Martin, 46, and the child. The reporting party indicated that Martin had left the child unattended for an disclosed period of time.
Upon arrival, deputies found that Martin was in possession of methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia that were easily accessible to the child.
The child was turned over to a legal guardian and Martin was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was booked for possession of methamphetamine, child neglect and endangering the welfare of a child. His bail was set at $80,000.
