This Thanksgiving we all have much to be thankful for. And for the Newport Food Pantry we are so thankful for JC Market (top picture) and their recent monster food drive. JC Market asked their loyal customers to purchase a bag of selected food items to be donated to the Newport Food Pantry, which is the emergency food outlet for the city. This food will help feed those in need, especially this time of year. An amazing 3,300 pounds of food, valued at over $4,000, was given to the pantry and included canned tuna, peanut butter, box cereal, apple juice, canned goods and more! JC Market Manager Lyle Mattson (pictured) expressed gratitude to his customers for their wonderful generosity.

Then a huge Pepsi truck driven by Eric Ligon and Joe Arnseorf (bottom picture) came during a driving rain storm to pick up and deliver three pallets loaded with the food to the Pantry!

The Newport Food Pantry thanks JC Market and Bigfoot Beverages, home of Pepsi, for making our Thanksgiving so wonderful and for helping to feed our Newport neighbors in need this holiday season.
