It pays to have quick talented photographers respond when a great shot is in the offing. Local 9-1-1 dispatchers said they were calling Oregon State Police to get a herd of Elk out of the intersection of Highway 101 and Salmon Street. That’s just a little north of the main part of Yachats. We sent out a call for a picture and Dan Wollin, who is a frequent contributor to our enjoyment of the Oregon Coast, grabbed his camera and beat-feet down there and captured this beautiful shot for us.
