On August 3rd, 2010, from 7 – 9 pm, Toledo Police Department will be hosting National Night Out BBQ in the library parking lot. National Night out is a National Event that brings neighbors, community, and law enforcement together to heighten awareness of crime and drug activity, generate support and participate in anti-crime campaigns, strengthen neighborhood and police partnerships, and send a message to criminals that our community is organized and is fighting back!

If you cannot make it to the Toledo Public Library for the BBQ, you can still participate in National Night Out by having block parties, flashlight walks, BBQ’s, or visit your local law enforcement agency.

This year the Toledo Police Department is celebrating National Night Out by providing free hot dogs, a special guest appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog between 7:30-8 pm, and we will be providing free Child ID Kits.

So help us celebrate National Night Out by coming by the Toledo Public Library and meeting your neighborhood police officers, grabbing a hot dog, get a free Child ID kit, and shake a paw with McGruff!
