Toledo Dog Park, East Slope Road
Toledo City Councilors approved spending $5,000 to develop a dog park across from 541 East Slope Road. The park will be fenced and will be open the same hours as other Toledo parks. There will be strict rules requiring dog owners to have their animals on a leash while entering and leaving the park. Inside the park, dogs may run free. There is also a presumption that the community, including dog owners, will contribute to improvements including doggie furniture and play equipment. Dog owners will also be required to clean up after their animals.
The city expects the dog park will be ready for use later this summer.
