NWS Alerts: The High Wind Watch issued by the National Weather Service for the beaches and headlands of the Central Coast is now in effect from this evening through late tonight.

* WINDS…South 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 55 to 60 mph possible for beaches and coastal headlands. Winds are not expected to be as strong in the coastal communities.

* TIMING… The strongest winds are expected late Monday evening into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
