Vote Yes on Measure 21-186 For Drug Enforcement
As a retired Lincoln Interagency Narcotics Team (LINT) detective I am well aware of the drug epidemic in Lincoln County. I was disappointed when the team disbanded a few years ago due to staffing levels, but I am thankful this measure will address this issue and bring back a dedicated drug detective.
Providing a dedicated Sheriff’s Office member to investigate and arrest drug dealers is vital to reducing drug use in the entire county. It takes a total approach including awareness and treatment, but arresting dealers is a top priority. A dedicated drug detective has the training and skills necessary to work these complicated cases and put dealers in jail.
This is a small price to pay to keep dealers off the street and away from our children. Join me in supporting this measure and vote yes on Measure 21-186.
