The 6th Annual Barrel to Keg Relay – Race to End Poverty is July 16, 2016.
Benefits Community Services Consortium – the Community Action Agency help people overcome poverty in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.

It takes 80 – 100 volunteers to make this wonderful event happen. Remember it’s for a great cause! Be a volunteer! You may volunteer as an individuals, couples or groups.

This is a beautiful relay from start to finish with the starting line
at enchanting covered bridge at Harris Bridge Vineyard just west of Philomath,
through back country of the Oregon Coast Range,
along the Yaquina River to the finish by crossing the majestic Yaquina Bay Bridge
and landing at Rogue Ales Brewery at Newport’s South Beach Marina
for the finish line party!

Here’s a few areas we can use help with:
· Pre-Race and
o Assembling runners bags (during the week prior to the relay)
o Early packet pick up (Friday, July 15, Corvallis)
· Philomath at the Starting line 6:30 am – 9am on July 16th – the morning of the relay
o Photos (shutterbugs welcome – you don’t need to be a professional)
o traffic control/parking
o participant check-in
· Race Marshalls – assigned to one of the 13 exchange points along the course.
These fun tasks include giving water to runners, sharing any news from the runners with the radio operators and cheering people on!
· Rogue Brewery Finish Line and Party –
o Set up: 12pm – 3pm
o Food Service assistance: 3:30 – 6:00 or 6:00pm – 8:30pm
o Traffic /Parking Assistance 3:30 – 6:00 or 6:00 – 8:30pm
o B2K Information table
o Handing out Finisher Medals 4:00 – 8:00pm
o Floaters – helping with random needs along the way
o Photos (shutterbugs welcome – you do not need to be a professional)
· Post Race
o Wrap up – breaking down tables and chairs and loading equipment, etc 8:00 – 9:00 pm
