As is traditional in the town called the Jewel of the Oregon Coast, the Yachats Village Ringers will ring out the old and ring in the new year this holiday season with a holiday performance of “Let There Be Peace.” And it’s all happening tonight at the Yachats Commons.

Ringer conductor Cheryl Wade says they will have a full musical offering of sparkling music from around the world, including a Celtic Noel, a selection from The Polar Express, a very interesting combination of bell choir and Native American flute playing, a Jingle Bell-athon, along with traditional favorites such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

There is not a bad seat in the house as the ringing and chiming fill the space with marvelous musical imagery of holiday seasons past as well as future. The concert begins promptly at 7pm at the Yachats Commons, right off Highway 101 in the center of town. Donations are encouraged at the door, with proceeds going to the Confederated Tribes Cultural Fund.
