(Newport, Oregon) – The seventh annual Be Jeweled upcycled jewelry sale extravaganza is set for Saturday, February 8, from 9am – 3pm, at the Newport Shilo Inns and Suites, 536 SW Elizabeth.
All proceeds from the sale benefit Food Share of Lincoln County, which is dedicated to eliminating hunger by creating access to food through a network of partner agencies such as food pantries, meal sites, backpack programs, senior outreach, and youth programs.
Priscilla O’Brien, a committee member for many years, explains, “Be Jeweled is a feast of fine, vintage, artisan, ethnic, and everyday jewelry that helps feed Lincoln County. And it’s also a lot of fun!”
“It was a challenge to designate what should be a part of Be Jeweled’s Best, as the quality and variety of jewelry this year are so high,” states Emilia Lacy, event chairperson.
Several beautiful Native American beaded spirit bags highlight a lovely assortment of beaded items. There is an outstanding representation of vintage special occasion pieces included in the sale.
No matter what kind of jewelry you like, if you want it for yourself or for someone else, if you are a collector or just want to buy some beads, Be Jeweled has something for you.
During the rest of the year, preparations always continue for the next Be Jeweled event. Jewelry donations are accepted all year – including right now – at Food Share of Lincoln County.
