Because of predicted freezing weather conditions, all schools and offices in Lincoln County School District will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 23. This includes the Eddyville, Siletz and Lincoln City charter schools.
School will NOT close early today (Monday), and all after-school activities scheduled for today will take place as planned.
The decision to close school was made based on the best information available, and considering the safety of students, staff and bus drivers, according to LCSD Assistant Superintendent Sara Johnson. School officials attended a National Weather Service briefing Monday morning to learn about the predicated hazardous weather outlook.
School was already scheduled to be closed Wednesday, Nov. 24, as a budget reduction day; and Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25-26, for the Thanksgiving holiday. School will be back in session on Monday, Nov. 29.
